The volume of business brought to the area continued to increase unabated for several years. In 1908 the Boyce State Bank opened in a new colonial-style brick building on Main Street – today that same building houses the Boyce Town Hall. Boyce became the second town incorporated in Clarke County on November 28, 1910, with a population of 312 citizens, and in December of that year William Gaunt was elected as the Town's first mayor.

The volume of business brought to the area continued to increase unabated for several years. Boyce became the second town incorporated in Clarke County on November 28, 1910, with a population of 312 citizens, and in December of that year William Gaunt was elected as the Town's first mayor.

In 1912 the railroad (now Norfolk & Western) decided to replace the old train depot in Town. The plans called for a small wooden depot, but the citizens of Boyce wanted a larger, more ornate building, and secured over $17,000 in funds to upgrade the facility to the standard the people of Boyce felt it should attain. The resulting building, completed in 1913, which was built out of Terra cotta block and featured 11 rooms, including a large waiting room and a telegraph office, is still a centerpiece of the Town today.

In the ensuing decades the town has seen many changes, but it remains, nearly 140 years after its founding, an attractive and friendly community known for its great quality of life and small town feel.

The Boyce Historic District, comprising 154 buildings, is now part of National Register of Historic Places.
